Thirty years in real estate. You’d think by now the situations would start to repeat themselves. They don’t.

My career has taken me through some of the industry’s better known platforms — Kennedy Wilson, AEW, Knight Frank Investment Management, Land Securities, and London and Cambridge Properties — across pretty much every sector going, from retail and hospitality to offices, logistics, and alternatives. That breadth wasn’t a plan exactly, more a reflection of never wanting to be the person who only knew one thing.

I set up Quantum in 2022 because I felt there was a gap worth filling. The clients facing the most complex, consequential decisions — the business owner at a crossroads, the family office moving into unfamiliar territory, the leadership team dealing with something that doesn’t fit a standard brief — weren’t always getting the most senior attention. I sit alongside the client, help them think it through, and make sure the right things happen in the right order. Senior advice, properly delivered, by the person they actually hired.

The range of work since has been, to put it mildly, varied. As Interim Development Manager and Real Estate Advisor to Wrexham AFC, I found myself at the centre of one of the more unlikely stories in recent sporting history — community, ambition, and some genuinely complex real estate, all playing out under global scrutiny. I work with a US family office on their UK and European strategy. I sit as NED to business owners at pivotal moments. I advise across construction, property services, and specialist investment management. And as Executive Producer of Places She Shapes — a podcast on women’s experience of the built environment — I spend time thinking about what this industry is actually for, beyond the transactions.

That variety matters to me. Versatility isn’t something I market. It’s just how the last few years have gone, and I’ve learned something useful from every corner of it.

At the end of the day, what we do is make the vision a reality. In practice that means working alongside some of the most driven people I’ve come across — in places I wouldn’t have predicted, on problems I couldn’t have anticipated. After thirty years, that still doesn’t get old. The leaders change. The ambition doesn’t. Neither does the satisfaction when it comes together.

Quantum was built on a few simple beliefs: that clients deserve senior advice from the person they hired; that the people around you should be getting better all the time; and that in a market moving as fast as this one, the only thing that really holds its value is the quality of your thinking, standards that you hold and how much you actually care about the outcome.
